Our staff work tirelessly to promote mental wellbeing in Hackney and the City, so it is always encouraging when they receive recognition for their hard work. Recently, City and Hackney Mind’s Amy Byrne was selected as a finalist for the Volunteer Coordinator of the Year title at the Charity Staff Awards.

Amy is responsible for coordinating our team of fantastic Appropriate Adult volunteers who support vulnerable people in police custody, and our new Youth Wellbeing project.

Commenting on reaching the finals in this category, Amy said, “I was honoured to be a finalist at the awards. It's great to get recognition on behalf of all of our amazing volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to City and Hackney Mind.”

Tweeting after the event, the Charity Staff Foundation commented that Amy is “an amazing representative of the charity sector”.
