The elation you feel when you laugh is a great way of combating the physical effects of stress. When we laugh, our body relaxes and endorphins (natural painkillers) are released into the blood stream, improving mood. It is even thought that laughter can promote improved immunity to physical illness and lower your blood pressure!

In a dreary and dull January, why not come along to a night of live comedy and music and feel the benefits?

Come to Mind is a comedy and music fundraiser for City and Hackney Mind, featuring a mix of cutting edge comedy and live music. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly support our work in the community supporting physical and emotional wellbeing, resilience and mental health recovery.

In the first half of the evening, Saban Kazim, The Comedy Store King Gong winner December 2014, and Sarah Sheldon, Jewish Comedian of the Year finalist 2014, will join forces again for their stand-up and storytelling debut show, ‘Saban and Sarah Do Stand-up’, which achieved a sell-out run at the Camden Fringe in August 2015.

The second half will feature singer-soulstress MIRI plus special guests. Blending silky soft and gritty vocals with thought-provoking lyrics, MIRI has received radio airplay on BBC London and performs around the UK and Europe including the legendary 100 Club in London and Zimmer 16 in Berlin.
