In partnership with the Psychology Department of City University, Mind in the City and Hackney has co-founded a research centre, the Centre for Psychological Wellbeing & Neuroscience.

The Centre is working to develop interdisciplinary research contributions, to improve both mild to moderate and severe mental illness (SMI), and investigate pioneering preventative interventions, their evidence-base and impact on the brain.

Currently, the Centre is exploring Mindfulness based therapies and adaptations, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Resilience in the workplace, and working memory in people with schizophrenia.

The Centre shares its research via engagement events and publications. Details of opportunities to become involved will be advertised here.
