An exciting opportunity has arisen at Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest for a Sessional Independent Advocate to join our busy, hardworking team.

This is a temporary role (initially for 3 months). Hours available will depend on service needs.

To be successful in this role you will have substantial experience of providing high quality non-statutory independent advocacy support to people with mental health problems, people with disabilities and people with learning difficulties who live in the community.  You will promote an individual’s ability to self-advocate, enabling those who access the service to understand and access their rights, make informed choices, and have their views heard in matters relating to their health and social care.

If you are well organised, able to work on your own initiative and have a proven ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders then we would like to hear from you.

Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest is an equal opportunities employer.
