We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. The support of our volunteers means that we can reach more people affected by mental health problems and improve wellbeing in the City, Hackney and beyond. We’re a charity and our work wouldn't be possible without the valuable time and energy of our volunteers.

Take a look at what a few people have to say about volunteering at Mind:

In the few months of volunteering with the Advocacy Team at Mind in Hackney, I have discovered and learned so much about how people live with mental health problems. It has been an eye-opening experience and has changed my perspective on mental health.
I admire the strength and courage that our clients have, and also I admire the team’s hard work and dedication that they put into the service. Having no previous experience in volunteering, they made me feel welcomed and part of that team straight from the first day.
One of the best feelings I’ve had whilst volunteering is seeing our clients flourish and become more confident with the help of the Advocates.
I want to thank everyone within the Advocacy team for their kind welcome and support. Most importantly, I would like to thank all of our clients who agreed to let me attend their appointment, enabling me on the path to becoming an Advocate one day.
